    • Aracruz Florestal begins, with the first planting of eucalyptus, in the state of Espírito Santo.
  • 1968

    • Aracruz Celulose S.A. is founded.

  • 1988

    • The Votorantim Group buys up a project in the pulp and paper sector, the Celpav Celulose e Papel Ltda, in the state of São Paulo.

    • Votorantim Celulose e Papel S.A. (VCP) is founded.

  • 1992

    • VCP purchases Indústria de Papel Simão S.A.

    • Aracruz Celulose launches an ADR Level III program at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and is the first Brazilian company to do so.

  • 2000

    • VCP’s shares start to be traded at the NYSE.

    • Aracruz Celulose takes an equity stake in Veracel Celulose S.A.

  • 2001

    • VCP purchases a 28% voting stake in Aracruz Celulose, which represents 12.3% of the total share capital.

  • 2004

    • Aracruz Celulose signs the UN Global Compact.

  • 2005

    • VCP completes its 5th year of listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
    • Aracruz Celulose is included for the first time in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI - NYSE) and in the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE - BOVESPA).
    • VCP’s securities are included in the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE), since then the company remains in the index.
  • 2008

    • VCP signs the UN Global Compact and is included for the first time in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

    • VCP and Suzano establish Conpacel (São Paulo Pulp and Paper Consortium).

  • 2009

    • VCP purchased 56% of the capital of Aracruz Celulose, which represents 24.7% of the total share capital of the Lorentzen, Moreira Salles, Almeida Braga families and Safra Group

    • VCP purchased in capital market operations, the remaining capital of Aracruz Celulose, completing 100% of the Company's Capital.

    • In Dezember 31st, 2009 the merger of Aracruz Celulose was completed.

    • Fibria, the world leader in market pulp, comes about as a result of the Aracruz merger with VCP, creating a company with 15,000 employees and production capacity to turn out around 5.3 million tons of pulp and over 300,000 tons of paper a year.

    • Change of VCP Ticker on the B3 and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for FIBR3 and FBR, respectively.

    • Issuance of US$ 1 billion in the international bond market, due 2019, and a 9.25% coupon.
